What it isn't is not just another ''wots trending'' app. Twitterendum was created for the
#space4people project

Twitterendum
The creation of our Twitterendum website came about because of exclusion of Scottish people i.e. our team from the
Scottish Referendum in 2014 whilst they worked abroad.
This includes expats, oil-workers, medics, aircrew and many other professionals. In fact Dr Livingstone would have been excluded
were he alive, I presume. In other words many of the people that make Scotland what it is were denied democracy. The justification
for this was never given and in conjunction with lowering the voting age for the referendum seemed little more than a blatant
attempt to skew votes in favour of the governing party [SNP] aim for breaking up the United Kingdom.
We remember what Scotland used to stand for : empathy, fairness and education. So we took matters into our own hands.
Accordingly we built this site and with @space4democracy and a simple YES/NO poll , aimed to raise awareness of this issue and to
get the global view on the that referendum , firing a social-media missile at that and other issues.  To find out how other people feel.

When an advertising group working with a media cartel and backing the SNP , e-mailed us and said ''
you'd better not'' use the term
''Twitterendum'' or else''
we knew we were onto a winner.  Then as we experimented and our Tweet views climbed into thousands of
views our Twitter stats [which we made public] were removed . Our pinned Twitter VoxPops were and continue to be taken down.
Elsewhere our social media comments in newspapers were marked as spam .
But still we were making an impact , people had ''reddit''.
So we felt that we were definitely on the
right track for social media democracy.

Due to its' success [see below]  we expanded into other issues.

But anyone can ask questions, we aim to go further and try to offer solutions/
disruptive insight where-ever
possible. A formula so good Twitter then copied it in 2015 with the ''Twitterpoll''. We're flattered guys!

The site is called Twitterendum as the name seems to capture the zeitgeist of social media today. It is not part of
the Twitter organization. It is an integral part of www.space4.international. It is a beta site, be patien
